Simon’s Crossing: A Novel (2010) and co-authored with Charles Asher, is a fictional account of the life of Simon from Cyrene, who was ordered by Roman guards to carry the cross of Jesus Christ to the top of Mount Golgotha. In his ordeal, Simon seeks revenge for the brutal rape and murder of his wife and agrees to carry the cross in order to assassinate the guards who destroyed his life. As he follows Christ with his burden of the cross, Simon experiences a dramatic change of heart as he witnesses the suffering of the savior.
